Setelah habis-habisan dalam sesi free practices sehingga bisa tampil dominan, dalam sesi kualifikasi yang digelar hari ini dijalani mati-matian sampai jatuh bangun. Untung tidak sampai mengakibatkan cedera dan berhasil merebut pole position.
